Alex Eala is heading back to tournament action as she is set to participate in the 2025 Jingshan Tennis Open in Jingshan, China.

The Jingshan Open is part of the 2025 WTA 125 tournaments and the 2025 ATP Challenger Tour. The tournament is set to start on September 22 to 28, 2025, where Alex is set to enter as the number-1 seed in the first edition of the tournament.
Eala is currently ranked 57 in the WTA rankings, and a tournament win would surely put her above her career high rank, which is 56.
Other tournament participants include Talia Gibson, ranked 123, from Australia, Tamara Korpatsch, ranked 140, of Germany, and Lulu Sun, ranked 147, from New Zealand.
Eala, being the highest-ranked participant, by a large margin, may make her seem like the odds-on favorite, but we’ve seen from her loss to Indonesian Janice Tjen in the 2025 Sao Paulo Open that upsets can happen.
The 20-year-old has recently returned home to the Philippines for a quick recharge before heading to the tournament. A much-needed breather after her successive tournaments in Guadalajara and Sao Paulo. Here's hoping that Alex can start strong and go back to winning ways in China.
